Jeopardy! History Wiki

Since 1987, various companies have cashed in on the success of Jeopardy by releasing video games based on the TV Quiz Show.

Host Alex Trebek participated in the games from 1992 to his death in 2020.

Announcer Johnny Gilbert has also participated in the games early on but his voice is only heard in the game's intros by saying This...is Jeopardy! but it wasn't until the late 1990s/early 2000s when his role in the video games expanded when he (not Alex) would read the answers/clues in the Jeopardy! and Double Jeopardy! rounds. This gives Johnny a bit more to do but it doesn't feel show-accurate. In addition, Charlie O'Donnell reads the majority of the clues in the Philips CD-i game with the exception of all clues in the Final Jeopardy! round, where Alex reads those.

Clue Crew member Kelly Miyahara has participated in the Jeopardy! games since 2010.

Clue Crew members Jimmy McGuire and Sarah Whitcomb-Foss have participated in the Jeopardy! video games in 2012.

Below are pictures of the various electronic adaptations of Jeopardy!.

In every Jeopardy! video game by Ubisoft and Frima Studios for XBOX ONE/Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PS4/5, The intro reused the Season 34 (later 35, 36, 37, 38, onwards due to its updates) graphics and Johnny Gilbert's voice is heard. The female host takes over Alex for tutorials, much like Mayim Bialik did from half of Series 37 onwards (before her departure).
